Simple Recruitment are looking for the right candidate to assist in the provision of financial and administrative service for Transport Service activities
Duties and responsibilities
1. Processing creditor and debtor transactions though manual and ICT systems, involving the raising and matching of purchase orders, delivery tickets and job cards.
2. Assisting with the checking of stock deliveries. Issuing stock via the Fleet Management System on a daily basis.
3. Processing of job card input, including mechanics hours, stock issues and materials purchased and from stock within Fleet Management System.
4. Preparation, photocopying and filing of documents, e.g., servicing sheets, taxi documents, job cards etc.
5. Dealing with telephone enquiries.
6. Providing an efficient reception service, assisting with queries as appropriate.
7. Checking and agreeing receipt of spares.
8. The ordering of stationery, vehicle parts and sundries as required.
9. Arranging public MOT’s and taxi test appointments.
10. Receipt of MOT and taxi test monies from customers, preparation of plates etc.
11. Up-dating computerised and manual taxi records in liaison with Corporate Support Team and Chesterfield Borough Council.
12. Assisting in the efficient administration of documentation, ensuring safety recalls are returned to manufacturer for checking, MOT’s are up-to-date etc.
13. To assist in the covering of key tasks during the absence of other members of staff.
14. To carry out all duties whilst adhering to the Council’s Customer Care policies.
15. Assist in the training and development of members of staff as required.
16. At all times carry out duties and responsibilities in compliance with the Policies, Standing Orders, Financial Regulations, Employee Code of Conduct, Procedure and Constitutions of the Councils. Adhere to Council standards of behaviour and Code of Conduct.

Physical requirements
· Ability to work within a small busy fleet transport maintenance facility with meet and greet arrangements of internal and external customers
· Occasional driving duties for collection of vehicles/spares.
